Federal Analytics Product in Palantir Foundry
2018–presentTechnical lead delivering demographic and geographic analysis of social drivers of health for a US federal agency — built inside the agency's own Palantir Foundry environment so it shipped as a living product, not a one-off deliverable.
Problem
A large US federal agency needed demographic and geographic analysis of social drivers of health, combining public datasets with the agency’s own data. A one-off deliverable — a slide deck, a static report — wouldn’t hold up as the underlying data changed. The agency needed something that lived inside its own systems and could be maintained after the engagement ended, not a snapshot handed off and left to go stale.
Approach
Led a technical team building the full pipeline, analyses, and visualizations directly inside Palantir Foundry — the platform the agency already ran its own data ecosystem on. That meant designing for someone else’s infrastructure and constraints from the start, not adapting a personal toolkit and hoping it transferred.
Outcome
The product deployed directly into the agency’s existing data ecosystem rather than existing as a throwaway deliverable — built to be maintained and extended by the agency itself, not just presented once and archived.
